I read between Grenoble and Tokyo, and I found the accents of my favorite book of all time, "The Master and Margarita" by Bulgakov. Cats who "speak" and the mixture of dream and reality are there for many, but this ambiguous relationship with a divine aspect, a cosmic order, where evil and good are far from the Hollywood orthodoxy and where moral, heroes and even time are equivocal.
It is a book of rare depth associated with impressionnate readability. It can be read and enjoyed by a wide audience far from limited to intellectuals and other enlightened amateurs or Japanese style literature, regulars of the detective novel on the beach teens who collect books Heroic Fantasy.
Small problem for me, the quality of the reading of this excellent translation Corinne Atlan poor, many spelling, grammar, and formulas on the edge of the French ... Too bad for a beautiful edition.
