Really makes sense of the clip in my opinion only one of the compatible base stations C610, S810 and SL400 (Series from May 2011, has a corresponding label on the pack). Here you can talk on any normal handset by pressing a key on L410 assume (ie the L410 steals the conversation from the handset). With every other base station you have to call manually convey the handset to the L410, which is rather annoying. Gigaset points out however, so this is only an indication rather than criticism. Here this function the simple call pickup does not depend only from the base station, the handset. One can also run older handsets to one of 3 compatible base stations transmit conversation handset onto L410 still goes with a single keystroke. From L410 back to the handset, however, is only possible with the right handsets. Important: With the CX610 ISDN and C610 IP the keying takeover does not work, probably because Gigaset has occurred to no solution how to do that for a number of simultaneous external calls.
The clip on the back of the L410 to clamp sits a little too deep. With a t-shirt with a narrow collar of L410 stand out much too far and expresses itself in quasi neck. It would not have been a problem to install the clip above, so that the top of the L410 is closer to the collar.
My desire to a potential successor of the L410:
- Better specifications
- Revise the design and improve the clamp
- HDSP-ready
- Compatibility with ISDN and IP devices
- Load option the clip directly to infect / via USB to the power supply
- Make charging station heavier, lighter plug-in connection, so you do not have to hold the charger when pulling
- Selectable ring tones / ring tone can be switched off or at least a useful ringtone
Perhaps Gigaset should just make a Bluetooth device out of it. That would solve the reception problem and ISDN and IP telephony then work without having to manually convey.
Largely because of poor reception, but also the inconvenience of locking machine I will return the L410. Pity that this great idea does not really work well in practice.
