The Aqua Audio Cube has been delivered in a Pappumkarton, the device was a USB charging cable in. When charging voltage 5V be specified. Information about the charging current missing. The Cube will therefore be charged through a standard USB port on the PC. Those who have no PC, so have to resort to an alternative charger. For this, all common smartphone chargers are with micro-B USB connector (this is standard since 2009), as these usually have a 5V DC output voltage. The USB 2.0 specifications provide a maximum current output of 500mA to the USB port of the PC / laptop. But Major cell phone chargers have a power output of 1.5 - 2A max. Charging current. However, this is not critical and harms the Aqua Audio Cube is not as long as the charging voltage of 5 V is true (the AquaCube should really only 0.5A "pull", the power supply is simply not at full capacity). I have therefore used to load the cube a mobile phone power supply.
Pro:
+ Coupling to smartphone or laptop went smoothly
+ Sound and volume are relatively good for this little device, the sound is good and of course better than any smartphone speakers on full volume :-)
+ The price is reasonable
+ Weight (very easy)
+ Telephony works without problems, speech quality (micro) is fine
Cons:
- At each switching on and off is an English system voice whose volume can not be adjusted. The annoying fairly quickly.
- The Aqua Audio Cube is touted that it easily will automatically connect to all Bluetooth devices. At least my device is not combined with the Bluetooth transmitter (redirect = true & ref_ = oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s01) I have ordered to the radio (which is in the kitchen) to transmit via the headphone output on the Aqua Audio Cube. When alternative BT speakers the coupling was not a problem with the transmitter and worked right away.
- Length: is given as 6h, I can not confirm. For me, the Aqua Cube was already rather out of juice.
- Delay: disconnections and time delay of more than 1s - I found the FM app on your smartphone is a delay of about 1 second with the Aqua Audio Cube. This may be a general problem and not only BT affect this unit. There were also occasional disconnections, but I can not rule out that it may be that my smartphone is guilt. Nevertheless, I seem to be the evidence that the connection is too slow or unstable, although I could not notice any problems with the coverage. I'll watch.
- For switching on you have to hold down the power button for several seconds, a simple pressing the power button is not sufficient. Why this is so, do not open up to me.
- Auto-connect with smartphone does not always work (automatic connection after switching), that I have to manually start the connection to the Smartphone
Neutral points:
* When the battery is all, the device goes from easy. Of course, this happens mostly in the shower. Schön would be a charge indicator.
* The delivery did not arrive until the new year, but I am writing to strike at Amazon and senseless, futile delivery attempts of the logistics service to, Amazon shipped as usual but still fast
* Suction / Weight: The weight is very low, the suction cup is fully capable to keep the speaker over a long period on the wall, but I found the Aqua Audio Cube also already on the floor again ... should the Cube So not too high Install
* The buttons can be easily operated, the pressure points are good, but you can hardly see the label with some distance, because the symbols are imprinted. A colored dismissal would be desirable
Conclusion: the Aqua Audio Cube served its purpose, although there is still considerable potential for improvement. In this price range you have to safely live with flaws, but there are quite better equipment. Ultimately, everyone must choose for yourself and decide what features they need and what disadvantages they want to accept.
I for one would not buy the Aqua Audio Cube again and would probably rely more on another product and therefore can not be a full purchase recommendation.
