The power of ssd is real, I have resurrected an old pc putting her principal ssd drive, whip it hard to start. So before you change your processor and add RAM, verify that your hard drive does not need a replacement. I advise you to install the system on the SSD and put all your documents, movies, pictures on your 2nd ordinary hard drive, it's perfect.
