I was really excited about this product because I wanted to use it for semiprofesionelle purposes. Above all, for the scanning of human heads. On the product side, we read that the product has an accuracy of about 1 mm. Would have been perfect for me. Reviews did not exist. Here is the first: Interesting design, light, handy, compact. The USB cable I found too short, because you have to walk around the objects and it must not be disturbed by the cables. The unit must be permanently connected to a computer by the way. The accuracy of scanning up to scratch. and I'm not talking about 1mm, but from the fact that the scanned object not as a slush pile should look with Texture, but as the actual object. It has been tested under different lighting conditions and not been even remotely satisfactory. In organic forms already better than technical. Constantly loses the software tracking and you have often start over. On device no Knöpfem thus you always have to your computer and launch it from there. The precision and handling is far as it applies to the manufacturer. That is why my review falls now from so dramatic. I would have saved a lot of time when they would have been honest. I should indeed be able to almost think, because I have asked the manufacturer before ordering to send me a test file to check the quality. They have however refused friendly even after repeated entreaties: "We do not send samples." After I was disappointed by the instrument purchased, I have contacted the support and asked for advice. This has responded promptly and friendly, but apart from the standard instructions came not something that has really helped.
Conclusion: Expensive toy. Thus one can perhaps scan large objects and then very small 3D printing. For other applications, in meien eyes, much too imprecise. I hope there comes a revised version. The device is incidentally not much more than a camera having an invisible laser. Therefore, it could be that through software updates, the quality still can be improved.
