+ Good graphical representation of Java EE in general and distinct from Java SE. (IMO much better than in "The Java EE 6 Tutorial 1: Basic Concepts") + The chapters start with an introduction and then go increasingly sensitive to details - for example, explains how REST works in principle, then services are annotated, and received later on ExceptionMapper. + "Putting it all together" at the end of each chapter shows glue code that you only find in the source files - so no need (second) IDE to open.
The book is intended for beginners, but I've also often used as a reference.
