The effect is very good for my opine. Shooting with external flash effect softer and more harmonious in every case. Whether portrait or product photos, the hardness of the flash is clearly visible and easily mitigated the shots almost perfectly (at least for me). Who previously had doubts to use the external flash and always has left it alone because the recordings thus act perhaps too hard or flash, can provide a remedy for small money here.
As I said, I have no direct comparison with other softboxes (Walimex or NoName), but probably the one with the Lightsphere Garry Fong - and behind are the results in no way back! I now have photographed one day, set, compared and tested and can personally very clear notice to me: external flash only with this small softbox! Whether this will now always be of Polaroid or (as a substitute) again comes another, and perhaps more expensive box to use, I will decide when the time comes. I'm actually pretty sure that the results will be approximately equal with all.
When it comes to fit, handling and processing this Polaroid model gets a perfect score in any case and if the expectations are met in each individual case, everyone must decide for themselves. As for the quality per se, there is as I said nothing to complain about!
Incidentally, I would like to say that this model is here absolutely odorless. No cheap plastic fumes detected - which is now unfortunately no longer the norm!
My conclusion: Once I'm using the external flash, will ever mounted this small softbox. The resulting images are nothing more harmonious and take the subject of "external flash" its horror.

- Really just the fact that I did not earlier resorted to such a solution :-)
