Jeremy Zuckerman, the composer of the previous series, created a fantastic world of sound for Korra. The difference was at Aang Korra that music came along less cartoonisch but more ambitious and mature. According to the new format of the successor series up. That meant for Zuckerman that he was able to show more of his abilities. On Asian sound he held, as in the previous series fixed extended even this!
Here the interesting and successful mix of jazz and Asian folklore sound particularly be emphasized (Air Tight, On the Lam, Squeaky Rags, Hittin` on All the Sixes)! These pieces, which were recorded by The Angel City Dixieland Band, are often heard in the more komödiantischeren points of the first season. Watch out, I think, excellent as the new setting of the series.
Heroine Korra was, if you will, three themes. There is a special piece that is not titled as their theme, however, but you can assign no doubt as their signature tune (Fresh Air, Wheels, A peacefull Place). A spine-tingling piece which full of grace but also melancholy is a theme that the hotheaded and initially little girl something spiritual consider unsuitable mag- what however in the course of the series more and more suits their equally maturing character. When her second Leit Theme I would call the well-known from the original series Avatar / Aang theme. This gives this piece ehrerbietende also an entirely new meaning. It's not on Aang beschränkt- It is the Theme of Avatars- precisely what confers all its incarnations I think this piece especially scary at depth and meaning!
The third theme I would Ending Theme designate which similar to Korra's real subject is very quiet and graceful. It is an incredibly melancholy, I would even say sorry, Theme. It is one of the most beautiful pieces that I've heard in recent years (and there were quite a few). Just a pity that it is very, very short fall. On the CD there is indeed now and then but briefly presented as fully exploited, it is just only in the ending theme ''. How well this piece, however, is really showing us Zuckerman in series finale
The track is which then ultimately incorporating all these topics together that the Season 1 finale Greatest Change. It underscored the MMN a poignant moments of the entire franchise. The moment in which for Korra everything seems hopeless, this piece with its theme (and the credit-piece) begins correspondingly gloomy, sad then in all its hopelessness but found her true strength and the theme of the avatar begins! Quietly at first, then in an explosion in both the theme of the avatar and Korra`s Theme hand in hand go- goosebumps and absolutely awesome! A strong score in a strong scene, and with primary responsibility why every time I shoot at the scene tears to my eyes.
Since the series is at times very dark and comes up with a number of action scenes to propose this on the score of what Zuckerman low but the opportunity uses these places with his music not only to underline perfectly, but to step up! Anyone have the downright clumsy music from A: TLA has the ear, this is hard to believe (the series finale of Aang was similarly brought musically terrific to an end).
Conclusion:
I sincerely hope that more will score albums by Korra follow! After all the pieces that I absolutely want to dive only on in subsequent seasons. Especially the last two seasons have an incredibly strong musical background! My goodness, I will spin when the music will not be published to the final scene of the series !!! Nickelodeon can hereby again invited to feel for the rest of the books accordingly score albums to publish! Take My f ***** g Money! Not only I- all fans eagerly await further Score publications (both series).
In the previous series is emotionally gripping and mature as yet this treasure not only a must-have for fans of the series, but also an extension for those who love fine thoughtful film music. In addition to the score for Batman Animated- series of Shirley Walker, one of my favorite scores in the American animated series range.
For you!
