First of all, I had to build a SLI system in front of me. I wanted to keep my and Case modding a bit everything as quiet as possible.
So 2 MSI GTX 970 were ordered.
The first card crashed constantly. Stable wanted the card only run at a GPU clock of -200 Mhz 'the MSI support advised me a 1200Watt PSU. I really thought I stand in the forest. Good SLi requires more power, but 1200Watt? I have tested the card out of hand in single operation and the problem continues.
Well, Chip lottery I thought and returned.
The second card and - I did not see properly - had an altered design.
It is a good deal longer. Does the panel have a sheet used in construction (probably for better stabilization). For a Casemodding that fit only partly. The illuminated display MSI was not among themselves but are added.
The point why both went back was but that the fans seemed defective. The first card turned the fan not from below 60 C. Both fans turned on again and stopped the every 3 seconds. The second (the one with the altered design) fired only the right fan.
Already looked funny. The top card in the system began repeatedly to rotate, the lower read throughout the second turn, while the first fan standstill. Both cards were 50 / 52C °.
Unfortunately, I am disappointed by the card.
All 3 cards had partly filled with the latest BIOS version from the factory.
Check out the pictures of the design.
