The digipack is not the most opulent Limited Edition you've ever had, but neat. Beautifully packed, booklet with texts, two at least interesting, though not breathtaking bonus tracks as well as a musical poem by fantasy author Markus Heitz (including the dwarves)
About the music: The first two songs convince full line and should provide excitement for all Qntal fans. Beautiful melodies paired with Syrah fantas (y) Tischer, partly magical voice captivate already at the first listening test.
Then comes the first with Tyger interesting mix of the three items "Qntal", "Irish Folk" and a bold breeze oriental sounds - peppered with a - want to say quite clearly "inspired" by Loreena McKennits Mummer's Dance in the chorus ... is selbiger pretty much the same, only slightly slower sung;) Well, we see it as EHR erbietung before this very exceptional singer who certainly also a Syrah a neat breeze demanded respect ...
the following two tracks are in my opinion rather mediocre but then comes with "Swebend" My personal album highlight which catapults the listener in a similar style as "Von den Elben" directly into another Fanta (y) Tables world! Already in the first few seconds I felt the concert in a church in front of tens of years remembered as Syrah to the opener "Out of the same" in the fog on the stage floated ... phew ...
The only drawback here: the song is too short !! otherwise terrific!
Immediately afterwards then a real novelty at the "Spring Song" which in the band's history if I am wrong not terribly for the first time, from about the third quarter of the song comes up with male vocals in a duet with Syrah - and very convincing !!! Unfortunately, here again: too short! I like to use as well, he would calm can be somewhat longer. Another highlight of the album!
It follows (in the Limited) of the poem Song "snow" is not relevant to the system.
Edit January 2015, Here I must correct myself - the song snow has something! Especially on the last quite snowy days, I've heard it several times and have to admit that the track has quite impressed me since then - especially the tragic beginning!
It continues with the re pretty oriental-inspired "In the Begyn" which somehow influences to the overall impression, it was time generally more than a little of the Loreena it indeed once had with the oriental.
In "Rossignolet" is a classic song Qntal paired with Native American flute sounds and film music arrangements, the instrumentation is indeed so unusual in this business than ever, I would say.
"Flame Amoureuse" is musically perhaps quite interesting but otherwise for me rather the most boring song on the record and then follows with "Musa Venit" the first and probably only song on the album which at least for a quiet start to dance floors tee turns. For that matter had Qntal definitely have more to offer to older albums, driving beats Man looking at this album in vain. No "Veni", not "ad mortem Fesitmatus" - nothing like that.
This time it is more on musical diversity and the proven magical quiet pieces, which I personally like very much.
This is followed by two bonus tracks of which the stronger Nox Aeterna a grim-electronic version of "Snow" is.
For me, the new album is not better or worse than previous works but takes its place in a work of art one exception combo which curiously years holds a special position with me.
I hope they will still delight us for several years.
