I have the device for 9 days and have gained some experience, which I would like to share. On my iMac I have for several years the Companion 5 Multimedia Speaker System connected via USB and enjoy the sound of every day.
The sound is so fulfilling that I wanted my Sony SA-NS410 360 degree network speaker in the kitchen or in the living room replaced by a Bose unit.
++ The sound of Bose equipment is just fantastic - so also with the new Bose Sound Touch (tm) 20 Wi-Fi music system. An entire room can be enough to supply music to the skies.
++ The 6 presets can easily with an iOS app (iPhone and iPad adjusted) or with a Mac / Windows program simply configure. A streaming music is possible with a few steps.
++ Just press a button, or select on the remote control a Present one already hears, for example, his favorite radio station Antenne Bayern - or countless more that you can select (HR3, SWR3, private Sener ....)
Unfortunately, I have also negative points that I want to report:
- Initial: There is not enough - as with the Sony SA-NSx10 devices an app to install; to connect via WiFi to the device; the "right" WLAN select there the menu and his WPA Key input - No Bose this runs much more complicated: first app download, then fully register as a user, then connect to the iTunes library and then synchronized with the app / Bose account - Only then can its stream music on the Bose speakers.
- Some of my iTunes library titles can not be played through the sound Touch app. If the error Aufritt, then the error message always appears in the Sound Touch App 1652 "content will not play" - I hope the will be fixed by a firmware update in the future.
