After I've done less good experience with the transmission of images via WiFi, I was on the Toshiba FlashAir SDHC card (16GB, Class 10) very excited. My previous negative experiences relate in particular to slow speed and poor connectivity of WiFi built-in solutions in digital cameras.

With the Toshiba FlashAir my Canon EOS 600D and Nikon 1 V2 WiFi should be made capable. The first and really only challenge before which one is provided by the Toshiba card, is the manual. Before I used the card in a camera, I have this connected via USB card reader with a desktop PC and the FlashAir Tool Toshiba installed with this tool basic settings of the card, such as the Network ID and the password can be changed.

The tests in these two cameras were made without problems. The card was detected easily by both cameras. High-speed sequential episodes and video clips recorded the card without faltering to come.

The WLAN function of the card is activated automatically when the card receives power from the camera, in which it has been inserted. In order not to burden the camera's battery over charge, the Wi-Fi function turns off after 5 minutes if no connection has been established in this period. The Toshiba card provides a WLAN access point available. Regardless of which camera in the card has been used, there have been no problems a PC, a tablet (Acer A101) or a smartphone (Samsung Galaxy S3) to combine with the map. Access to the data is carried out via the browser of the respective device. The transmission of images works brilliantly. Images in the order of 6 10 MB have been transferred very quickly to the target device.

Conclusion:
The card is set up quickly and without any problems, there was no connectivity issues with Windows 7 and 8 systems. Even in dealing with Android version 4.1funktioniert the card without any problems!
