fast, reliable and stable

Stable and fast access times, which is very positive about this record and my first opinion I have to correct, as the on-off switch anyway works how I want it: the shining button simply press for about 3 seconds, then the hard drive is completely shut and activates also not automatically when the computer! The plate is great, as I said, the access times are really super, for a hard disk. And so far there was no connection problem, or the like, so it is also very reliable and stable. When it is running you still hear the faint hum of the HD but, quietly and without fan noise, of course, but you can hear it, especially when very quiet iMac. In a Windows turrets you will hardly perceive. So far I can only say: clear recommendation, although the price is still relatively high for 3TB with Thunderbolt.

Update: A little something I noticed: When I turn off the LaCie, the Mac will restart. Meanwhile, I have found out that that should be the Thunderbolt port and a problem, but that may be solved with a new MacOS update. I hope so, otherwise the would be the Thunderbolt Dock completely free or the LaCie I bought, so just the USB ports remain, accordingly, not just the LaCie cheap, but occupied only the otherwise unused Thunderbolt -dock, so I do not always switched on or reposition needs. I hope the fix it!
