Fast Switch for little money

So ordered due to the mostly very good reviews and I was not disappointed!

The installation on existing Telekom Speedport W701V router was easy and smooth. I run to the switch 2 laptops, 2 PCs and a Windows Home Server; all could immediately build 1GB connections.

The speed of the switches is impeccable. The transfer rate depends more on connected devices as the switch itself. The peak I could achieve when copying 203GB (about 400 files) from my Acer H340 Home Server on my desktop PC: up to 102MB / sec. The 203GB were copied after about 47 minutes; with mixed file sizes (a few kB to GB) moves the edge of about 20MB / sec to 70MB / sec. Bottleneck are sending and receiving hosts here. Performance default's, in my view, therefore, nothing to complain about. As cable I use commercially available Cat 5e cable. All statements MB-figures come from Windows 7 computers; the values ​​were stable over a long time respectively.

By comparison, the integrated into my router 100Mbit switch creates a maximum of about 11MB / sec.

Clearly, the case of TP-Link switches is made of plastic, but optimally processed. Purchase Another important factor was the low power consumption compared to other switches for me.
