Book poorly documented with a lack of clear references. Japanese makeup is described in one miserable half page, so that there would be much to say (kabuki, geisha ...). Approximations are legion in this book. The chapter on the skin that wants with the scientific description of the different skin layers is not documented (no references to anatomy books, medicine ...). There are also repetitions in text (p37: twice the same paragraph, same quote or reference to known characters that are repeated later ...). I find there are too many occasions texts / citations (including articles). Finally, the text is heavy. The author writes as she would speak. It really looks like an "amateur" book where there would be no replay. I was thinking of buying a well-constructed book, well referenced, ... so it's a huge disappointment considering the price.
