So when I found this game, I followed to the letter until today, and this is my back after trying, febrile, that title this afternoon.
First, the interface is pleasant, written small but complete. She shakes a little what we are used to see, but for me it is a positive point, developers were not afraid to shake up the rules in place.
Navigation is fluid, the various elements have been explained by the game, and we quickly notice the side "searched" and deep the track: all that will be playable or visible is configurable. Like the joystick or steering wheel, adjustable with onions.
I jumped into the water, once the game set to "amateur" and after a few Dualshock settings (type 2 and lowered overall sensitivity), I love the Nürburgring Nordschleife in its historic edition, with all of First an online race with 3 competitors, driving a GT3 SLS. My advice? Here it is:
- Visually this is clean, clean, with nice depth of field, lighting effects and surprising particles
- Very present feeling of speed
- One senses the vehicle "feel" the road, which may be laughable, but is almost never the case in a game, whatever it is, GT6 head
- Different views very successful modes
- Dynamic vehicle, feeling cold tires / hot tires, shocks, stalls grip very well transcribed ...
- Sound environment light years from that of GT6 (together, not hard ...)
Nice surprise after this first contact; I said that I have nothing of a king of the pad, and I have felt nothing "hyper difficulty" to handle my car as some have complained disproportionately ... Obviously, the game tends more towards realism than other available or known titles on consoles, so it MAY not be handled in the same way. Of course it takes right around corners, it wins over the curbs, it slips if the gases are managed as in GT6 or NFS ... At the same time, if it does not seem obvious to the player who complains is that this type of game is not for him.
Then, out of love for Porsche, having the opportunity to drive, I could not resist the urge to drive a 911 GT3 "road" on the same route; And here I can assure you that I have encountered something that blew me away: it is the first time that on arriving in a turn I felt the effect "backpack" feature of the dynamics Porsche, due to the implementation of the engine block and the weight distribution! Drifting up from foot and downshift is initiated and presented in a strikingly realistic, very close to what I've been experimenting with a Carrera Cabriolet 3.8l of 355ch, model 2007 ... Nothing to do with driving the Mercedes just before, and that is VERY nice!
I foresee a future more than positive for this title, full of rapids qualities to perceive, and inevitably other deeper. Obviously, there are and will have flaws, but what game does not? And then the Update are there to solve them.
Anyway, I would conclude as follows:
It is a beautiful and enticing and title, which is not resting on these items; It is as complete, both acoustically and visually as dynamic, but also in content "in-game". The limited number of cars? Honestly I prefer modeled 65 vehicles to the extreme and all different to drive an infinity of variations stupid as we saw in the GT or other games. It will take time to appreciate it at its true value, and this is unfortunately a figure that does not always go hand in hand with the console player ... Nevertheless, it will have its clientele, and I hope he we reserve big surprises and improvements. I obviously did not claim to have discovered more than 0.5 or 0.7% in a short time, but already looking forward at first.
It is clear that it has nothing to do with GT6 or Forza, both qualitative but in a different register. PCARS is a type of game "and more" on our consoles. And that's good.
Now if some of the questions, I have nothing against, because I inevitably forgot to talk about certain things.
