Two weeks ago, I thought finally released the TomTom USB Multi-Charger in the hand. The packaging was good and even provided with a seal. Already from the outside so the unit made a high-quality impression.
The charger itself feels the same high quality and is processed properly. The product description also agreed wholeheartedly agree with the delivered goods: the charger has 2 USB ports, one with "Fast Charge" (= fast charging) is labeled. In addition, the adapter has a socket for additional charging adapter. This jack devices can connect to a maximum of 25 watts. The USB ports are designed for 5V and 1.2A or 2.1A (Fast Charge). An additional adapter for this connector is not included, but this was not so in the description.
In recent days, I could then also take the appliance in different vehicles to use and test and I must say: I am totally satisfied. I could both my Samsung Galaxy S2 as well as an iPhone 4S and a navigation system and connect easily invite. This charger will be my constant companion. Once I have collected more long-term experience, I will report them here.
Einzigstes small drawback is that the device through the side-mounted USB ports not in any vehicle fitted Although (the device itself fits into the 12V socket, but you may not have enough space in the cigarette lighter with inserted cables to another insert USB cable). This is but in my opinion more on the vehicle, if for charging adapter simply too little space is planned. Most vehicles, where this is the case, but have a center console with armrest and thus often a second 12V socket in the center console for the rear seats, where you can then plug in the charger if need be. For me, there's therefore still 5 stars.
