Finally a working cable.

I have more recently a Sony Xperia Z1 Compact. With the supplied charger must be loaded via the USB connector. I was fumbling with the USB flap quickly tired, and also many of my electronic gadgets have died of broken USB connectors, so I quickly looked for a way to charge more than the magnetic connection.

Here for you who are interested a few helpful tips based on my own research for such cables.

Already during the preliminary research, I noticed a large number of complaints about cable that fit poorly and easily fall off, on. Therefore, I have a little more money spent than required minimum, the cheapest cables currently stand at around 10 euros, the cost here at least half as much again, but it fits neatly and holds on tight.

Apart from that I also came across all sorts of abstruse nonsense.

Apparently, some think that these cable-contact load such as the loader of some electric toothbrushes - but that's wrong. Here is a normal cable before with two tiny, spring-loaded connector pins that are based on the contact surfaces of mobile phones, and the magnet holds the cable firmly only on the phone. That the contact surfaces, which can be seen clearly on the phone, must be kept clean is probably a matter of course. Since the magnetic connection with Sony also couples only the power supply lines of the USB bus to the mobile phone, magnetic cable can not use for data transmission. I let my phone when it depends on the charging cable, booked into the local WLAN.

That leaves the connection of the charging cable to a USB port of a computer. This is only a temporary solution, if one is in a hurry not with the store. A USB 2.0 computer port provides (normgrecht) more than one quarter (500mA), USB 3.0 just under half (900mA) of the required 2A. Ifs a little more, that's a freebie of each computer manufacturer, and not something you can rely on.
