Primary choice
I bought there is little a pair of headphones Sennheiser IS410 to listen to the TV two quietly.
They work very well, and IR transmission filled his role: no parasites ... as long as the receiver is properly perpendicular to the waves.
But we never look the TV sat, but still lying on the couch. And there, crackling due to incomplete reception.
I was reluctant to use the UHF helmets because I had two close WiFi terminals.
This is where I came across this helmet also allowed to connect to 2 on the same transmitter.
His open side and ESPECIALLY his felt pads I knew my Sennheiser HD555 filiaire were against me choose the RS 170.
The pleated faux leathers are doomed to crumble when my HD555, older than 10 years is still like new.
Comfort guaranteed.
And promise: NO sizzling, even in the depths of my house (walls honeycombed chipboard). Sound quality worthy of my HD555 with a broad spectrum.
And all this regardless of listening position.
2 helmets appairent easily (FYI, I took 2 full sets because they were cheaper one headset)
Batteries: what a surprise to find the unpacking in the box 2 AAA Eneloop batteries 750 mAh. These batteries are rechargeable rolls.
I was equipped with Eneloop for my other devices. They are among the low battery discharge batteries, which means that unlike
in most rechargeable batteries, they do not run down if you do not use it.
Guarantee of quality to the end.
Small disappointment at the opening of the 2nd box when I found the GP 600 mAh. GP is certainly a very good brand too,
but the 600 mAh mean that autonomy will be less. Nothing serious though, because I never listen more than 4 hours straight.
The bad news therefore is that the brand and the battery duration is variable depending on the lot.
The good news is that you can put your own Eneloop batteries or GP if you have any. Mine are 800 mAh
and allowed me to test the helmets without waiting 16 hours to recharge.
The buttons? Yes, indeed, they are small and close. But you really have to be careful not to be mistaken. Just from the edge and count up to five.
The slow charging? Can be annoying if you are used to listen to the TV with headphones for more than 24 hours straight. This is not my case.
Moreover, a long recharge Equals good lifetime of the batteries. There is nothing worse than a quick charger!
This is therefore a guarantee that the batteries will last longer.
Comfort? Said the greater good of felt foams: do not heat, do not stick, do not disintegrate.
And for trying IS410 type stethoscope, nothing to do: the RS 180 gives a greater feeling of lightness while it is larger. Much more enjoyable.
Finally the open headphones eliminates the closed environment sensation that tired after a while. If you do you use at home out of the hubbub, no need for closed helmet.
If you want to use it through the mower in your garden, then better be worth the RS 170.
The price? It's worth. Anyway I do not know a serious competitor. And you can find more for less.
Headphones so buy eyes closed.
