I use it in the studio and outdoor, for portraits, people, architecture, macro, industry and technology, and much more ... even for family snapshots and Street.
My Opinion:
More camera does not need one.
Handling and image quality are a dream. The combination with high-intensity fixed focal lengths (EF50 / 1.4, for example.) And good zoom lenses (like the 24-70 / 2.8L or the 70-200 / 2.8L) delivers impressive results, which do not need to hide from medium format photography. The ISO range is fully usable to 6400, until 12,800 is slight banding noticeable.
Finally 24mm are also real 24mm and the 50mm prime lens is a standard lens ... I come from the APS-C-camp and am finally happy with the image effect.
The only drawback is the AF module, but I guess Canon wanted to stop the 1DsIII simply not impede the - who can live with a mean cross-type sensor, should buy the 5DII.
The biggest pluses:
++++ For the viewfinder - bright, clear, all information - he would be a "100%", there would be 5 "+"
+++++ For image quality - which is beyond reproach
+++++ For handling
Bad points:
- AF speed in Live View
- Only one cross-type sensor in the center; 8 more would be great.
I also look forward to the macro season with dragonflies and other Gekrabbel because the Sigma 150 / 2.8 show what it can ... A per pos objective: to 24-70, which is included in this kit:
In my opinion, a lens that should belong to the standard of any photographer. Even at KB extraordinary edge sharpness after only 28mm, front perfectly acceptable. Build Quality gets with the 24-70 new meaning - it is a real armor, its weight, its dimensions and its monster-Geli but not exactly discreet. Who can live with it, gets a lot of quality for the money. With 70mm open excellent exemption for portraits and a gorgeous bokeh, very soft and almost round.
My conclusion: the 5DII and the 24-70 / 2.8L have to snatch them out of my cold, dead fingers to separate me from it. Buy!
