Finally I found this adapter cable that allows me to use a headset Plantronics on my MacBook Air purchased early 2013. For several months I was looking for and the Apple store did not give me any information. I had already suffered a setback with my brand ear headphones bought for my iPhone 4 does not work on my MacBook Air. The sound and microphone are great for Skype with this adapter and my headset. One complaint about the fragility of its construction to be seen in time.
