Speak Now (Audio CD)

Customer Review

A mere 20 years old and already mega successful: Taylor Swift is undoubtedly one of the big singer-songwriters of our time. Your awards and chart success in the United States speak for themselves - this year alone, she won 4 Grammys. Here in Europe Taylor has not yet made the real breakthrough, but it can still get ...
With her third studio album Taylor gives us again superb country-pop, "Speak Now" is its predecessor "Fearless" in every way. This time the songs were written entirely by her and she has also played a major role in the production of the disc.
The album of 14 songs are (here you get at least something for their money!). The first single, "Mine", is a typical uptempo number and reminds you right on "Love Story". All in all, offer the listener a good variety of ballads and faster, sometimes even rockier country numbers. This album makes you feel good! Who is a country music fan and music eg by LeAnn Rimes like, which is quite possibly like Taylor. But for everyone else's "Speak Now" highly recommended, because where one finds today still "real" honest music?

Mine 5/5 -> typical Taylor, class country-pop, catchy factor
Sparks Fly 5/5 -> nice uptempo number
Back to December 5/5 -> great ballad, one of my favorites
Speak Now 4/5 -> title song of the album (the title refers to the words of the priest at a wedding: "Speak now or forever hold your peace")
Dear John 3/5 -> slow, quiet number, does not speak to me anyway so quite
Mean 4/5 -> classic country sounds
The Story of Us 5/5 -> the first rockier song
Never Grow Up 4/5 -> cute ballad, calm and guitar-heavy
Enchanted 5/5 -> the title of the song speaks volumes - when you hear Taylor's music, it's kind of delighted and charmed
Better Than Revenge 4/5 -> Taylor rockier times
Innocent 5/5 -> another favorite, beautiful ballad (the song sang Taylor at the VMA's this year - in response to Kanye West's outburst in the previous year, as a Taylor Beyoncé Award "snatched")
Haunted 5/5 -> pretty rocking, unusual but great, out tip!
Last Kiss 4/5 -> another ballad, very quiet
Long Live 4/5 -> nice finish, typical country song

Great CD, great booklet (because they gave themselves a lot of effort and there is even any lyrics), buy !!!
