Former user of the MX518, (in game and photo), I chose the G500 because of the low price difference with the G400. The mouse is fine but I regret some things, and the next will be a G400. The pros: -The grip, weight (beware it is special for the people who are not used) -The programmable and recordable sensitivity in mice (attention, synchronization of the sensitivity is not possible with the memory of the mouse) -The detachable wheel
The -: -The withdrawal finish compared to the MX518 and therefore a priori with G400 (hard plastic buttons, play in the wheel) -The average slips -The stiffness of the braided cable (I doubt his life lasted, attention to micro-cuts)
So yes it deserves its superlatives, but not necessarily 5 star rating. (It's still a very good mouse)
