However, I can advise anyone on this smartphone, the same negative experiences the following two points as I:
- Fingerprint scanner: Basically a great feature, which worked perfectly for me, always the first time and very quickly and easily. But at the end of the fun was just at the moment when I had finished my set up your machine and set up, among other things, the synchronization with an Exchange ActiveSync server. Why? The fingerprint scanner is set up an account (on the sure many users have to rely on mail and calendar synchronization) disabled. The security settings allow an immediate use to stop and you can write off the fingerprint scanner so. The background is that the appropriate security policies do not recognize the fingerprint scanner as equal barrier method. That this is possible without problems, shows the current iPhone. Samsung seems to be simple matter because of this error has been known for months. And when mistakes can this classification in my opinion indicate, as most administrators would like to accept an unlocking fingerprint, there are simply no way to change anything here (for all Microsoft Exchange server versions). The problem is a lot of discussion on the Internet, as a workaround to alternative e-mail and calendar apps recommended to me that's not a solution.
- Bloatware 2.0: Samsung exaggerates slowly with the placement of unnecessary features that simply do not want to use presumably much of the users. Pre-installed apps on the lot is scolded have not previously bothered me, even if I do not use much of it then they slumber just in the menu. But with the Galaxy S5, the programs S Finder and Quick Connect delight with a quarter (!) Of the header of the pull-down bar of Android. I do not need both programs completely, you need me but every time look, if I pull the bar down and anyway is not enough space available for the messages. Of course, Samsung is no way to remove these entries. That's just plain annoying and completely incomprehensible to me, because what else should be desired here to urge the user to use as unneeded software.
These two points are for me, unfortunately, an absolute killer argument against the Galaxy S5. I hope I could help all people with this assessment, which are close to the purchasing decision.
Update 24/07/2014 - Next (more serious) drawback: The battery of my S5 is now already several times within 2 - been (without use) emptied for 3 hours at extreme Aufheizunge smartphone. Background is obviously a process / service called "Google Play services" (Google Play services) or sometimes just "Google services" (Google Services), which requires up to 90% of the battery. A search on Google shows that this problem is widespread and well known. So here's the warning - this also applies to the S5. Here it is not understandable for me why. If you uninstalled the updates of "Google Play services", then the problem is resolved briefly, however, install these "services" new and off you go again. Actually, this problem with the Google Play services in the latest version should be 5.0.84 (released in early July 2014) be resolved, but that is for many mobile phones not the case, as is also known since the beginning of June 2014. A solution does not yet exist. Madness ...
