Have long researched on the Internet. Wanted a device that also allows batteries, lasts a long time and is not too heavy. Although I am very satisfied with LiteXpress lamps (Workx 204 that is no longer offered by the manufacturer), on headlamps which H7R could be outdone by the LiteXpress Liberties. The closest equivalent I find the Liberty 115. Both are battery-compatible, and dimmable. I opted for the H7R because it is comparable to strong (140 lm), a little easier (despite 3 AA vs 1 CR 123A) and continuously dimmable and also the mass has better distributed (batteries are behind). But would the Liberty 115 an overhead band (for those who are so inclined). Perhaps that is necessary in the weight and the total load on the forehead. A disadvantage of H7R: the dimmer at the back is a bit cumbersome to use.
Field Test: real strong Beam far into the distance. At minimum dimmed with wide-angle setting, the Led Lenser H7R a map definitely illuminates strong enough without dazzling. For me the perfect headlamp that is comfortable to wear. Batteries were after three days moderate use yet full (LT supplied charger). Lamp works properly with other batteries or disposable batteries.
