First impression - really 18ml in COLOR and BLACK ??

The manufacturer of the original cartridge provides the cartridges XL24 with 10 ml of black (XL2431) and colored with each 8.7 ml of. The Tintendienst.de says LT. Account a charge of 18 ml (!!!) to. But even if it were true: The printer weighs no ink, the printer does not measure the water level in the cartridge, but is one of the pages and the cover of the media. My weighing results at 5 colors 30.34 to 31.37 grams (but with plastic cap and strips without packaging). At the 6th color already noticed that only this outer packaging is a vacuum pack. And the grooße surprise: the cartridges are 25.25 grams (or slightly better). Can of course be that the empty cartridge is lighter than the other, but about 5 grams? In other expected: the first 5 cartridges should (31-18 grams) 13 grams when empty to be hard, the 6th color only 8 grams?

A small excursion on the edge: so far I used cartridges to replenish itself. The empty cartridges are externally exactly the XL24 cartridges. Front (or right, depending on the perspective) is an ink chamber which can completely absorb ink, behind an equally large chamber with a sponge. At initial fill the Schammkammer sucked full, then only the ink chamber. If the sponge soaked (representing nearly 3 ml), then you get into it again 7 ml; total comes down to 14-15 ml. However, too early happy. Whenever the printer message says the cartridge is empty, there still 2-3 ml in the ink chamber are present. If the cartridge is empty, then go into a maximum of 10 ml. As I said, that's up to the amount of consumption. The relatively small cartridges require that you - depending on print volume - soon must refill ink. Because, unfortunately, does not always go without color finger, it was worth it to experiment with the low cartridge.

My ratings only 1 star deduction because an overcrowded cartridge is nonsensical yet. If one has to pour more clean finger (not overflowing cartridges) and is the printing result is OK; Then there is the 5th Stern.Wenn the capacity is not true that there is but again a star deduction or I weigh new from.
