I have a first test (about 20 min) carried out and it worked (s. Video).
Canon 600D with Tamron lens (17-50) with bar, weight about 1 kg.
The drive of this only works if the whole plane is, I've been thinking, and also do not expect more.
For such heavy cameras that focus is not in the center of the flow-Mow, I recommend a rail (10 cm long), with which you can somewhat offset screw on the flow Mow the camera. Otherwise, the camera pulls because the lens always forward and the product certainly does not look good.
Otherwise, the flow Mow ticking like a kitchen timer and anyone who thinks now, that could destroy the original sound of a video (I've read) is thinking completely wrong, there's no use in fast motion of recorded sound anyway. I suppose anyway on with series of images.
Watch the video:
Exposure time per image: 2.5 s
Interval: 6 s
25frame video reduced in After Effects by effect "Timewarp" at 20%.
Recording from the tripod with said rail between the camera and Flow-Mow.
