As a fan of polo shirts, both for leisure as well as for work, I bought four different brands in various colors, size XL. Two shirts were in the lower price segment (Kappa and Kangaroo) and the other two in the upper middle class (Gant and Hugo Boss). The Boss polo shirt comes in a transparent foil with a simple company logo. When you open me immediately noticed an unpleasant chemical smell, which I had been so intense in any other Polo Shirt! One should wash the part in each case only once thoroughly. On the collar is a green plastic tag with your company logo, which is attached on a rubber band with a safety pin. Designed very complex then comes on the inside of the neck portion of the shirts to the fore, gummed and printed green. The embroidered signature (logo), both on the chest, as well as on the back below the collar looks quite appealing and high quality. The fabric itself (like all Polos purchased from me) made from 100% cotton and here I can feel no real difference to the cheap brands, as well as the structure of the substance in all shirts looks the same. During my Kappa and Kangaroo fit like a glove in size XL (at a size of 180 cm and 95 kg), I unfortunately had to find that the boss shirt sleeves are very narrow cut, which means that they are close to and span strong on the upper arms. I did not expect, because the body part that is very well - pity! I wonder if Boss produces only fashion for slim people ?! I once measured the circumference of the sleeve: Boss = 30cm, 36cm = Kangaroo and Kappa = approx 42cm! Incidentally suited me GANT in size XL at all. This is a maximum size L, so buy here at least one size bigger!
Conclusion: The best fit the two discount brands (11 per EUR). This I would not hesitate to buy fully again and also recommend. With Boss I subtract a star for the unpleasant smell and a star on the sleeves too tight geratenen. I would recommend 40 EUR only partially this polo shirt also because of the fourfold higher purchase price of approx.
