I faced the problem of having to route an Ethernet cable through under doors. Normal cable with a diameter of about 0.5cm are far too thick. It came just a flat cable as this question.
As expected, it can pass through between the door and the frame, without interfering with the closing or opening of the door. However, you have to turn the cable 90 degrees before curves, but this is not a big challenge when laying.
