Here is my very extensive product review:
In principle provides MSI Twin Frozr quite a good cooling system, but to me, the fan was clearly too loud and has unfortunately made an annoying rattling noise in the range of 70-80% speed, I could not really fix. However, the Twin Frozr has not managed to keep the card under the "temporal" limit of 80 degrees, not even at 100% speed which can mutate into a jet engine fan. This means that the card has at full load (FurMark) after 2-3 minutes the clock started to slow down (via BIOS update MSI to 1202 MHz default).
Installation of Accelero Extreme III was very simple. Since MSI cools all RAM and voltage components with a continuous cooling plate, which is screwed from the back, no bonding of cooling devices was necessary. Only the 4 screws centrally, which mounted the heatsink and die gear on the graphics card had to be solved.
A tip - I have a Big Tower (CM Storm Trooper) and the cooler fits just make pure. There are about 1.5-2cm, or 2 fingers high place to the hard drive bays. One should use a Tower with full construction depth, otherwise it could be severely cramped. The cooler towers above the PCB of MSI by about 6cm, since the GPU a bit further in the center of the card is as necessary, with other GTX models. Since I had informed me in advance in detail about this cooler and read 2 reviews, incl. Set here reviews, I was very well prepared.
Here I would like at the edge mention that it is always better to be in advance to inform on such products which have a very high compatibility with a wide variety of cards extensively. Some here criticized negative points I can with the best will not understand, because this should be clear if you read reviews (where the cooler by the way really does well), and if necessary also look for installation videos on Youtube.
Now, I want you no longer in suspense, here is my results:
Idle 2D under Windows:
Original: 35-36 degrees (135MHz)
Accelero: 29 degrees (135MHz)
FurMark - full load:
Original Fan: 81 degree (at full speed, with Afterburner fan control - Terror turbine)
Accelero: 71 degrees stable - at 55% speed (automatic control, very very quiet)
Rift (Very high level of detail, MSAAx16 + Super Sample) ~ 60-80% GPU utilization
Original Fan: 72-77 degrees (Full Speed)
Accelero: 53-64 degrees (45-55%)
The Witcher 2 - Full level of detail, everything Activated - 99% GPU utilization
Original Fan: 77-81 degrees (Full Speed)
Accelero: 64-69 degrees (55%)
As you can see, there is a dramatic improvement in my GPU temperatures, I can here express a strong buy recommendation from my side.
I had isplays me personally. really looking forward to a little tinkering and was slightly disappointed that I only had to mount the heatsink. I takes about 30 minutes for the assembly. If components must be bonded, it is (let it dry 1-1,5std + 1 std adhesive) significantly longer because you have to consider more. For my part, I can say that the instructions are clear and well illustrated. It is not doing a lot of text, some will be explained. Most of the pictures and tables are self-explanatory. The screwing of the backplate and the cooler is somewhat detailed work, but easy to deal with some skill and patience.
On the copper surface of the radiator thermal paste was applied, no no Leit pad, it was right on it paste was applied in a Quadrad about 1mm thick. This I left it and used and not replaced by other paste. I wanted to first possible get a genuine result. Maybe I'll replace them nor MX-4 paste, let's see.
If thus dramatically changed something, I'll do this here recognizable as such.
All in all, I am more than satisfied with the result.
I hope my review has helped some
Many Greetings
