this ball is with us in a Rose Rondell and lit beautifully by the matt plastic ball. It is a great eye catcher in garden.We have long ground socket away and almost at ground level put the ball into the ground, so it lights up beautifully between the rose bushes throughout. The brightness is sufficient for this purpose. We are very satisfied with the purchase.
