At first listen, I was a bit bored, because being too many slower songs are about what I did not expect after the smash hit from the barn. But the album is so that you have to have heard a few times to realize that each song has its own style and some songs even at great classics remember ('Dahoam' z. B. extremely reminiscent of ' The Joker 'and' You are light 'almost to the king-the-lion-Soundtrack) what the listening but does not detract in my life. On the contrary: The songs are so ear that is the melody after a few times listening knows by heart and be caught as they are in everyday life hums to himself. Gabaliers voice is pleasantly rough and never intrusive. Lyrically the CD moves between irrelevance and profound thoughtfulness. Fascinating here is that the close relationship of the artist to his homeland.
Nice that people still dare to stand up for their home. In Germany, this is not always self-evident, but the Austrians make it before.
That Andreas Gabalier his songs mostly writes itself, is another plus in my eyes. The sound in general is not as traditional and therefore overlaps at times with pop sound or even rock music. I look forward in any case already on new CDs.
Conclusion: Finally, an artist who is also young people 'allowed' to find folk music well. Class!
