The packaging of the Rii Mini was itself very high. Unfortunately, this was the only quality on the device. The keyboard feels cheap. The keys you have to press down so that the maximum input is detected. But this one should not make too long / slow also because otherwise double and triple entries are made. The range is extremely bad and it depends extremely depend on how you hold the keyboard. The distance to the USB receiver is with me most about 1,80m and there is nothing in between. Most preferably, the signal is transmitted when you only laterally on the housing touches ... but then it taps her really bad ... You can not with this keyboard comfortably lounging on the couch because you have to align them directly to the receiver (with the back) to the inputs to transmit also. If you hold the keyboard is not "ideal" and directed to the receiver then can be moved only with dropouts the cursor on the touchpad.
Since I got the keyboard it has a very annoying bug: Sometimes the last key pressed is repeated extremely long. This is particularly critical if you want to only slightly increase the volume and it suddenly made automatically so loud that one is not sure whether to keep their ears or to reduce the volume first. It may be that this problem is due to the poor signal transmission / range and the receiver simply assumes that the button is pressed further when the signal drops out. Is also disturbing that one can never be sure which was broadcast every keystroke. Very annoying is when password entries, you then must often make a second time.
Why the keyboard here has such a high rating, I can not understand. For the price I would have expected more quality. This keyboard it seems here at Amazon by several "producers" to give under different model names (Rii mini is probably identical with the iClever, similar looking there of anchor, CSL, etc.). The shape is often almost identical but the key assignment or the imprint differs minimal. These keyboards, there are some already for half the price of Rii. I was hoping that this is in the Rii for the quality "Original". Meanwhile, I'm not sure if the cheaper would not be as "good" was.
