These are three childhood friends. There was first Pierrot, the anarchist trade unionist who, at the head of a blind band cares brothel in the posh receptions or slips of matches in the locks of bank branches to prevent them from opening. There Mimile, now languishing in a nursing home in the unfortunate name of Meuricy but made three times around the world by boat and whose body is completely covered with tattoos. And then there was Antoine who has just lost his beloved Lucette - Lucette the wisp that made heads turn in their youth, Lucette who left the large pharmaceutical company where they met to create a small puppet theater Wolf called the Slip stroll along the country roads driving a red van. When, the day after the funeral, Antoine opened the letter she had left him and learns the secret she hid him for several decades, he sees red. Grabbing his gun, he embarks on a road trip vengeful towards Tuscany ...
In "The old furnace," there of social criticism, of colorful characters, hilarious dialogue, the friendship is heartwarming, funny situations and nostalgia that never turns to pity . Page 21, completely silent, shows Antoine dreaming in his early years with Lucette squeezing his heart against one of his puppet theater. I fell off it, and my eyes are filled with tears of emotion. Three pages later, I began to laugh out loud (which happens very rarely reading me), and I no longer stopped until the end. I punctuated my reading of at least a dozen "Fantastic, this comic is really great." His humanistic side made me think of stories Zidrou. But the banter of his heroes, Pierrot head, belongs only to them. A huge favorite that I recommend highly enough.
