For my purposes only conditionally suited

Since modern TV sets for copyright reasons (!) Are no longer willing to record broadcasts in unencrypted format, I had gained this USB tuner to record broadcasts on the Mac and archive. Movies, concerts, operas I buy anyway prefer to DVD or Blueray as the quality audio) is particularly far better. So the DRM keys anyway nonsense.

Now for this device: It can be very quick and easy to connect, the software is good both on the Mac and on Win7. However, I have 2 LNBs for Astra and Hotbird, and dislike the device. The TV tuner of my TV have no problems with it, but Elgato is only Astra, Hotbird when the signal quality is 0. And that can be NOT. Why be DiSEqC 1.0 will not find the second satellite, me remains hidden.
An email to the support went unanswered, and the Elgato page also offers no help.
Too bad. Unfortunately, I have no idea which competitors can better this.

All in all, a device that I can not use in this way.
