The supplied audio cable is an RCA to jack Y cable billigster kind and not shielded. It is connected to the charging station is Cinch (two females, white and red). The device to which the headphones are to be operated, requires a 3.5 mm jack. For RCA inputs a jack to RCA adapter or an RCA to RCA cable has to be purchased separately. An adapter jack of 3.5 mm to 6.35 mm jack is included.
The WHP3001BK is powered by two ordinary AAA batteries, as they can buy anywhere! Two batteries are in! No tampering with the battery cells and battery compartments that are designed to prevent the use of cheaper standard batteries such as Sony or Philips! Thick Plus!
The Thompson headset is very light, sits comfortably and safely on the head and does not press too much on the ears, which are optimally enclosed! The comfort is very good!
The system is susceptible to interference! When z. B. SCART or satellite connection cables are in close proximity to the cables or connectors of the headphone charging station, there may be significant noise. Something distance fixes the issues.
Undisturbed, the sound quality in order: Sonically happy medium, with light noise, dialogues clearly. For TV or video games quite sufficient for more than just a short time in between listening to music but maybe a little too flat. The max. Volume is good, but not very good. Our medium-deaf grandmother at the volume control a little room for improvement, for strong hearing seems to me the max. Volume but may be too low.
Placing the headset in the charging station designed to occasionally something hakelig: The charging contacts meet namely not always correct each other. Then the headset must be pressed repeatedly into the charging station. Until load contact there and a green LED signals that will be loaded. Our grandmother is so unfortunately overwhelmed.
