For simple tasks Ok.

I had this slide together with the Novoflex CASTEL-Q to precisely ordered both to be able to compare.
The Quenox / Photo Mate LP-01 makes a high impression for this quite cheap price.
It has an easy to read 10 cm scale on the side, and the setting on the dial works quite well so far.

I had on the slide my Canon EOS 60D without battery grip with the Canon 100mm macro 2.8 L mounted.
Personally, I must say that one bit at a scale 1 with a little patience and fine settings: can hammer out 1, as long as the slide horizontally remains on the tripod.
