The AC adapter serves me as a reserve. With two boxes, there was DSL disconnects that were due to fluctuations in the original power supply. The AVM Support sent immediately replacement. For such cases, I always have a spare power supply. The Aukru makes a solid impression and is with many Fritz! Boxes compatible,
