For the amateur-between Scan absolutely okay

We are typical average user of a digital camera. We have had a Panasonic, especially also because this camera was self-explanatory. But as the problems already start a little, because so self-explanatory as our predecessors apparatus the Nikon S6900 is not Collpix. This nevertheless rightly found relatively quickly one is one and only because the settings are not too extensive. Now everyone needs to know himself, how much he wants settings. We personally enough what the Nikon brings completely. We are a family that hires times the camera briefly and press the shutter button, with the camera set shall as far as possible automatically. That does the Nikon also and for our purposes is therefore perfectly acceptable. I also think - because as "Selfie" camera advertised - that the target audience exactly those users are also, so people like us who just like it press once briefly. ;-)

The freely movable screen is great and moves fluently, so you not afraid to do anything here broken. Getting used to for us is still that everything is controlled via touch screen - even though we are all smart phone users. But with a camera it is somehow still disconcerting. Especially when one no longer has the full vision - but at the camera always continues keep away etc .... must wear glasses that will have her glasses as I'm not always there to know what I mean. :-)
I still have not come back one thing behind: When the camera you are a few seconds turns the touch fields there and then disappear. If I want the menu I have to touch the screen, so that the button for the menu in the first place appears so again. With this touch the camera controls, and funnily every time the triggers, so take a picture. This can be true then then be removed relatively easily delete again, but nerves by pressing menu and do it somehow. However, I suspect there quite self-critical times a stark User error? :-)

The image quality I find absolutely okay and certainly for the price more than reasonable. But as I said I'm not an expert, the pictures I've ever shot - including our nocturnal New Year fireworks - are absolutely satisfactory.

Something detrimental to the small internal spoke memory cards up to 64GB but there are usable disk space should not be a problem. The WiFi feature and even a smartphone app are now probably good form ?! I was recently test even an electric brush with both number and it behaved there similar to this camera. The device superfluous per se but Wifi and top app for us. I at least have no desire my upload images instantly somewhere and if so, then I'll take my smartphone for the same. Limited practical course is the opportunity then to use the smartphone as a trigger for Nikon - at least young people who indeed would rather shoot himself time itself, will thus have their fun. Practically this also: Integrated pedestal.

Battery life is so-so. For too long the battery lasts not, about 2 hours depending on use but that you should get there even on vacation for something one day. The shop is for relatively quickly.

Visually see the Nikon from unobtrusive but stylish and it is really good in the hand and is also pleasantly light with good 180g. I would highly recommend the Nikon S6900 Coolipx hesitation as long as one does not expect any miracles. For this price range, the product delivered is absolutely fine. One star deduction I admit, especially for the not so successful user friendliness, which could have been better designed. Otherwise, however, as I said a great camera.
