Here's why the device of mine gets 5 stars for Value for money:
The connection and configuration is easy. For LAN connection (Fritz box) can be directly after connecting easily upgrade to the new firmware. You just have to click "Next" ... no installation Hänkemänke actually ...
So far, the part has swallowed everything on disks and playing my older DivX smoothly from. I can not complain about the volume while reading and playing me. The speed seems to me absolutely OK. The picture seems to me almost perfect (plasma and projector), which of course also depends on the quality of the medium / equipment. This is also true for the sound.
The sound (including MP3 from USB 'stick, hard disk or CD) convinced me totally for the price.
The menu is in my opinion very clearly structured and user-friendly. You find your way quickly. This is particularly true for contents in MP3, etc. For longer titles will be displayed in MP3 scrolling text and not "cut off".
For me an important buying criterion (see picture above if necessary ...):
The remote control is not as puny as it is often the case with cheap devices the case (I attach here at LG about 21x5x2,5cm / Like myself better as the Technisat recorder ...). She is very good in the hand, does not affect overloaded and some colored buttons are useful arranged that you can control the player well and without a magnifying glass (large numbers / characters). Really cool that the most important keys are higher / oblique arranged (= housing conditions). For this purpose on the lower side a "dump", where the index finger fits well in ... So you can navigate safely even in the dark.
Compliment! As someone has genuinely thought (in the cheapest market segment) ...
Even at greater distances to the device `s no (radio) problems. Feel and technique for me very positive.
Apart from that I have nothing to complain about at the appearance of the device itself, which is a matter of taste
(Front black, shiny / glossy - looks mE not "cheap" from ...).
With regard to the network / Internet functions I "clicked" a little bit of rum (Youtube etc.) and am surprised at what the current technology for all currently brings 100 EUR so. The existing apps seem to me largely uninteresting, because usually a registration is requested.
A nice "addition" which I will not probably use.
I can for 'normal consumer / non-surfers' definitely recommend these players and see so far only 1 point, which one could add, in my view: It would be desirable if the player (as I know that ...) turn off during operation can and to restart the movie or sound is played exactly by the appropriate point on, where you have left off. Such a feature seems to me for a BR player makes more sense as a variety of other functions, which already seem to be moving in the direction of "Internet".
However true the whole package and that is why I would buy this 3-D player at the price of EUR 100 (as of 07/12) currently once again.
On an HDMI cable I do without considering the other components very much reasonable. I have already even before you leave home. To put in place here possibly some "cheap cable / Blender" in (which may still be too short ...), it is dearer to me, if the device manufacturers such "additions" saves and instead more emphasis on quality hardware / software sets. This customer I see with this device realized ...
Supplement 05/13:
So far no problems with the device. Here only a recommendation for a "suitable" external hard drive, which I have gained for LG: "Intenso Memory Station 1TB 6002560 external hard drive". The LG supplied these "matching" pre-formartierte hard drive via the USB port (although it is required to power the HD = 2xUSB ...). So I do not need additional HUB or so - no cable fuss. Also offered by Amazon for a good price in my opinion in my view therefore an unproblematic Top complement to BP 420. ...
