I used this bar on my desk, but not directly visible. The weight is OK, and the bar has a good level. The on / off switch in the on state has a discreet "amber light", therefore it is not disturbing even with insulated light. If you want to integrate the cable visually significantly understated in the desk should find another solution, if necessary. There are enough office desks with integrated sockets. I think that you get a fair value for the price. Visually I lack a bit, so it was not enough to the full 5 stars.
