Ok, what can you capitalize on a rather unspectacular (but very meaningful) accessory for the Mac / PC ...?
I try it just once; o)
Delivered the stroke in the known from the Amazon Frustration-Free Packaging, in a box in addition to the USB hub (with permanently attached 20cm long USB3.0 cable), a power supply (5 V and 2.5 (!) Amps) and a small hand book.
The stroke itself is compact (H15mm x x B90mm T40mm) and finds a place anywhere. Since the cable is quite short, the stroke must be located near the computer. In my case (iMac) no problem, but when the PC is under the desk, even a USB3.0 extension must be included in the plans, so that the hub has its place on the desk.
Note: Contrary to the article description is NOT the USB cable 91cm long, but the connecting cable from the power supply.
Through its own power supply, the stroke can also power-hungry consumers reliable supply, without which the internal computer USB socket is very loaded to.
The stroke has in my opinion no negative impact on the transmission speed, the data exchange with the USB stick was just as fast as if it was plugged directly into the Mac.
Since the connecting cable is relatively stiff and the stroke very easily it can happen quickly, the "walk" the Hub goes - here then helps only a fixation with eg double sided tape.
For the short to (quite stiff) and fixed to the hub cable I subtract a star - result: 4 stars.
