For the second time Senseo - satisfied. No more and no less.

After the coffee from my old Senseo slowly but surely lost its taste, I now had the agony of choosing a successor product, which should be as quick and easy to brew a good everyday coffee again.

On Cappucino, Latte Macchiato or espresso I can do without, for me the fall rather moderate results not in their preparation for me significant.
Thus, the machine needed no Milchaufschäumfunktion and as large as possible, the selection should be having coffee and comparatively cheap to avoid high costs.

So the choice then fell mainly because of the design and its proven reliability in the past, back to a Senseo machine, in direct comparison told me the acclaimed engine of Petra simply from outside her not to.

After an inspection, the local supermarket so was the white variety on my Christmas wish list.

The first thing that unfortunately negatively noticed was the fact that no product bundle was to get a starter kit, or that do not at least two of the square cups are included, they are, after all, on the product packaging and it has been the seems unfair advertising that they are not supplied. I knew that, although previously, yet it unfortunately has a bitter aftertaste. Especially at Christmas a starter set would have made a good impression.

The machine was delivered as usual reliable Amazon and well packaged.
It comes with two pod holders, one for one cup and one for two cups, which can also be used for example, cafe Choco.

The machine has a sophisticated, the piano finish what makes her and the processing gives me a higher quality impression than my old Senseo, especially the fixed closure of the cover and the pad holder bracket act very stable (with my old machine it is me sometime broken be, but could be replaced).
The water tank will fit well into the picture, the Abstelltablett for the cups fall somewhat from overall impression seems a bit unstable.

The commissioning of the machine was as usual extremely simple and fast, it must again complete the water tank through to rinse the parts that lasts less than five minutes and already the machine is ready for use.

Handling could not be easier, the water tank will be filled (which unfortunately a bit clunky affair is) and you turn on the machine. Pad (or two for two cups) inserted into the corresponding holder, close the cover and once the switch stops flashing press the button for one or two cups and the coffee flows into the cup.
The heating is really fast and the coffee really hot, which is an improvement on the old machine, so it can also be a cold shot Milsch be added to fabricate without equal lukewarm coffee.
Unfortunately, the metal tray is very loosely inserted into the cup holder, so that it constantly loose and off and move on in the preparation of the cups. That should have been a better solution in my opinion.

Initially, the pressure fluctuated somewhat in the preparation and initially came only very bright water out and then only dark coffee, which has diluted the flavor. After about 10 times, use this has been clearly a problem, which occurred even in my old machine after a long period without use.

I am the taste of the coffee is not quite as enthusiastic as before, which is not but is on the machine but simply that my taste has probably changed, Senseo is just taste closer to a strong filter coffee than on a good espresso, but I'm nevertheless satisfied.

The clearly biggest selling point besides the ease of use is the coffee selection, you are not bound to the partner-producer Douwe Egberts and can get anywhere in the retail and the Internet coffee in large variety selection. My favorites so far Dallmayr Prodomo or Eduscho Gala.
The consumer can therefore freely here between Edelpad (eg Lavazza) or discount goods (which does not have to be bad) decision.
Likewise, from different manufacturers, there Macchiato and other coffee-like products such as espresso, cappuccino, cafe vanilla latte, hot chocolate or even mitlerweile also tea.
I have not tried it not very much, because I do not just located mainly on my cup of coffee a day.

When I tried it, I found it rather moderate, such as the cafe Choco from Douwe Egberts.
I have additionally a "Hot Choco" - gifted Padholder that I will still try it, can only say in general that these things could never keep up to date with the taste Dolce Gusto then that simply works with a lot more pressure.

Contraindications:

- No cups as a starter in the package, even though it is advertised their mapping
- Original Accessories overpriced (keyword cups)
- Processing of the cup trays substandard
- Hakeliger use of the water tank
- Coffee could taste any full-bodied with a bit more pressure

Pro:

- Value for money very good (I am referring to the Amazon price)
- Great design, high-quality look for this price range (up to cup tray)
- Ease of use
- Easy cleaning, all removable parts are dishwasher safe
- Processing affects overall very solid
- Large, diverse selection of coffee, espresso, specialty, also cocoa and tea available
- Low cost of ownership by lack of price monopoly on the pads
- Good taste in contrast to filter coffee (depending on the pad)
- Beautiful crema on the coffee

Total:

I recommend this machine for infrequent Moderately frequent coffee drinkers, the fast and just want a cup of coffee with crema and where a large selection at the coffee is important.
The specialty coffees such as latte macchiato I see more as a gimmick if you do not have high expectations for their quality, so buy a Senseo, I would consider a bad investment.

I've got the machine pretty much what I imagined, very good, solid product, which has a few blemishes that it costs the highest rating.
