The Razer Seiren like zunä'chst ago by the trivalent presentation / processing. Beautifully hard, great look. However, a few control buttons have a little too much "game" ... but of course, everything works perfectly. Cloth-wrapped USB cable with about 2 meters lies and should be used because it ensures power supply with 500mA. That does not create any cables. No software, no accessories with it otherwise.
Impressive are the fluorescent glowing Razer logo and the various other displays and LEDs. Wow! With the stand, the Razer Seiren is about 30 cm tall, the main material aluminum with two bright shiny metal strips. Fancy. A headphone jack there are also down.
The digital multi-field microphone Seiren should easily be installed via Plug n 'Play. Not even close! Is not recognized ... First you have to (if not already) so the Razer Synapse software download, install, restart. Register at Razer ... annoying, which is interfering with one or the other.
Who raises the question: Who can benefit from such a (semi-) professional microphone? Since there are different audiences, which carry 4 different adjustable Shooting bill also:
1. YouTuber / Streamer / Podcasts (cardioid mode)
2. musician / singer (stereo mode)
3. Speaker (cardioid mode)
4. recordings of conferences / events (Omnidirectional mode)
5. interviews, singing duets, Music Instrumental (Bidirectional Mode)
6. Gamer (to a lesser extent, s. Below)
As my Gesanges- and instrumental arts - to say the least - are rather modest, the inclusion in the final result is technically impeccable, but of course, not have been as convincing as with someone who understands anything about it ;-) more professional users the recordings safely yet with a corresponding Software (Voice Effects, etc.) edits and make the most! Too bad that no software included for this purpose. Especially for the price.
Earlier I was more than "voice over" spokeswoman tä'tig for corporate videos. Between the then record with a "normal" microphone and recording with the Razer Seiren are definitely worlds! And you have your hands free thanks to the stand. The microphone is in an optimal talking height. Ideally, this is fun, sounds really crystal clear :-)
For both Streamer as well as speakers should use a pop filter against wind and breath noise - is not in, although the Seiren a whole corner is more expensive than competitors. Also a shock absorber, the vibration and so abpuffert noise, unfortunately missing. Is it possible to buy individually - or equal to buy the bundle. Since when streaming the big illuminated Razer logo front would provide unwanted attention, it can turn with enem button down during recording. Thought along!
For singer / musician, a stand would certainly make sense - unless man / woman is singing at the table ;-).
The advertised audience "Gamer" / "Chatter" likely due to the high sensitivity of the microphone so some background noise such as click, mouse movement on the table / pad to get over so. One can minimize the sensitivity of the microphone at a regulator, but also the stand itself seems to pass the motions here. Since I do not belong to this target group, I take the liberty this recommendation no pro / contra.
Note also that the maximum sound pressure is "only" at 120 dB. So if "vociferous" wants to make recordings that should take to heart.
An outstanding feature at Razer Seiren is for me the one hand, the high sensitivity and amazing sound quality, the range of variation of shooting modes and thus possible applications, as well as the easy and visually compelling usability / Shooting Info around the gooseneck microphone mute with display, controls, microphone / ON.
A star deduction for the whole cumbersome installation and the missing - but anzuratende - Accessories Popfilter / shock absorbers or even software for post-processing. That should be at the price of this or that would justify the price!
