The Fritzbox 7390 led, unlike my 10 years old very old modem (which unfortunately slowly gave up the ghost) to the fact that the compound is about 15% has been slow! - That would not yet have been the worst, also the Fritz box ensured that Xbox360 Online gamble practically no longer possible, since constantly the links collapsed to the game server and every few seconds, as well as one jumped practically through the levels, so it jerky ! I put the old modem back to the line, it worked immediately! - This was reproducible! - It seems to be so well that it is the 7390, the oh-so-great flagship of Fritz boxes is probably designed more to VDSL, and with slow ADSL lines so their problems has ... even if the customer does not know, of course, "and regrets that there are difficulties with the Fritz box .... "
So I started looking for another solution and read here at Amazon that a few years old Fritz box 2170 should lead to better Ergibnissen. So buy this box and connected. Result, the back line is significantly slower than the very old modem. Gaming with the Xbox 360, however works fine, but only until the moment when the line completely collapses and the modem re-initialized, because the 2170 probably does not come with the damper handle. That happens on average certainly 2-3 times a day - great! So the phone with the provider, this advised me to increase the "interference" of the Fritz box (Advanced Settings -> Internet -> DSL information -> Settings) - (previously under Settings - enabled> "Expert Mode" -> System). Had then the "interference" from the right to provide funding. But this has not brought much initially, so the points of the central position again one step further towards "safe" moves. Then the line was seemingly stable! - The problem in this case was only characterized the line speed was something about 40 - 45% reduced ...!
That I went after a short time on the bag so that I was looking for another solution, that is for a pure "DSL modem"! First I tried my very old modem on Ebay to get, with the result, the first modem was totally broken, the second was only at half speed .... So the search continues .... and finally found anything specifically with a " D-Link DSL-321B "- This costs only a fraction of that dam ... ßenen Fritz boxes and works so far as it should.
I use the D-Link DSL-321B in bridge mode, that means the internal modem of the Fritz box 7390 is turned off and the Fritz box dials via the modem of the D-Link DSL-321B! - In addition, nor to virtually direct access to the D-Link DSL-321B all depends on a Netgear switch to, without having to use the Fritz box. Speed is back at full power which the line will bear (ie around 5000), disconnections I've not noticed and gamble works fine! The long-term test has not yet completed the part, but so far it runs.
I will post this review in all 3 modems in order to spare others this misery might! Good luck to all fellow sufferers with too subdued line!
