For years I was on my Xbox 360 road and very happy because the Xbox 360:

However, I always had an envious eye on the Playstation player, because the PS3:
- Had much more high-profile exclusives.
- Was technically perfomantere console.
- Allowing online gaming at no additional cost.
- Had a Blueray player.
- Offered with Playstation Plus a very good deal with two free Top games a month.
During the time with my Xbox 360 I got with each new dashboard update with first-hand how the Games revenue an ever smaller role. The dashboard became more and more a hodgepodge of movies, series, music and more and more advertising. At the end of the game was limited to a small tile window in the left corner. This development did not like me personally!
Yet the joy was great: The successor to the Xbox 360 was announced. And the disappointment followed on foot. I saw the unveiling of the console in the Xbox Live Stream: TV, Entertainment, Sports, and Kinect. Then the name Halo ... and announced a TV series by Stephen Spielberg? Since saved not the new Call of Duty Ghosts, whose dog was sold to viewers as the latest innovation, the overall impression of the presentation.
Hardly surprising: The S *** power of the press and especially the disappointed fans followed on foot:
This presentation is now officially regarded according to Wikipedia as a PR disaster, quite rightly in my eyes!
In addition Microsoft seemed thereafter to do everything wrong, what can go wrong:

And Microsoft buckled shortly after the start of pre-orders. All pesky customer transitions lungs were rejected, pulled one equal with Sony. What remained was a huge loss of image, the number of players, including myself could not forget. Microsoft was immediately to try the company that had the arrogance to rule in favor of their clients the advertising industry, to spy and destroy the used game market. And the pre-orders showed that not all customers forgiven this experiment, the pre-orders of the PS4 exceeded enormously from Microsoft, such as retailers reported.
But how beats the PS4? I will here describe my personal impressions and draw a comparison to the Xbox One. Please also Fanboys note that this is here purely subjective, that is what I think:
The console came on time from an online shipping. Unwrapped, a (more on this in the addendum of 02/12/2013) built into it 1TB Fetsplatte and the current firmware 1:51 played it. Everything went without any problems. The dashboard I like very much, the focus is on games, no annoying advertising, and you will not be littered with entertainment or the like. Movies, music and apps to play, of course, on the PS4 a role, but are not as important as in the Xbox, I like that very well. As a PS Plus member I had immediate access to the title Resogun and Contrast: Two super games, which cost about 30 euros together. For my PS Plus membership year I paid on Ebay about 45 Euro. As a former player Xbox I'm not disturbing me at the fact that you have to pay for playing online, I'm used to and I appreciate the free games a month.

To the camera and face recognition related dmait I also at Sony a wide berth, for that matter, I do not trust big company and also make no difference between Sony and Microsoft.

But the launch titles yet to disappoint. Yes, Killzone Shadowfall convinced, but this is still too little. More will definitely follow, however, and it is a gamer's heart may rejoice. Remote Play surprised no latency delay, no shocks, absolutely great!
I'm curious how this console, especially the games will develop. Alone Dead Rising as one of the launch titles for the Xbox One leaves a bad aftertaste: I love this game series. Nevertheless, for the time being no Xbox One comes to me in the house, too big is the loss of confidence to Microsoft: I will not have to buy the camera in a bundle to have a console, I do not want any advertising and I do not want all in one entertainment system. The highly acclaimed Microsoft cloud turned out to be PR-talk. As a detailed report of PCgamesHardware showed: The cloud can be used for AI and static lighting calculations. Graphic effects or even dynamic particle effects are simply not possible due to the latency. This is a pity, since the idea of an external graphics calculations is very good. How Sony will use here the streaming service Gaikai order as promised PS3 games to stream on the PS4 to be seen. Personally, I promise myself hereof however nothing, services like Onlive tried likewise already, and failed miserably.
I am far more than satisfied with the Playstation and will continue to keep their loyalty. The development of the Xbox One I have been following closely and waiting for the moment until Microsoft gave me enough reasons to strike here. So far, however, this is not happening.
Addendum of 02/12/2013
I take again the time to clarify some points that have been requested.
The Share button:
Yes, the much-discussed ShareButton what exactly can you do with it? Well, not soo much but the idea is nice and the future will show where we are headed. Here's how it works: If you press while playing the Share button, so the PS4 immediately saves a screenshot of the current frame and the last 15 minutes. Gameplay (This is 10 minutes more than the Xbox One), which is about 520 MB memory required. This video can now share about his social networks. I tested it yet, because I consider this as pointless. Imagine all Facebook is awash with mindless gameplay videos that anyone really care anyway. Professional Player Lets make anyway to steer clear of the Share button, because the quality is resolved simply too low and limited to the cutting of the possibilities of video editing (yet). The stream of his gameplay should also be possible, but this is among other things the service Ustream at disposal, which is not exactly notorious for quality. I hope Sony builds the Share button from, because the idea is to do a final boss and send this moment in image form to a friend from his list in my eyes really tempting. Is this a reason to buy the PS4? No! At least not yet!
The hard drive:
Officially it was said that can be built into the PS4 Fetsplatten 2.5 inches and a maximum of 9.5 mm thickness. The size should be a maximum of 1.5 TB with maximum 7500U. Somewhere I read that testing showed that the PS4 with these maximum demands made problems. So I opted for a 1TB hard drive with 5400, the Samsung M8 HN-M101MBB. Neither during installation, even when installing the firmware, there were problems, so I would recommend this drive to anyone.
