The frame in metal optics is not completely around the device, the bottom is made of black, relatively robust acting plastic, which makes sense, because you so not so fast scratches looks when you connect the charging cable in the frame.
Display:
The display of Honor 6 dissolves very keen on with 1920x1080 pixels. The viewing angles are stable and the brightness is very high. Compared with the Huawei Ascend P7 the display seems much brighter, and the colors and contrasts come to better advantage. The automatic control of the brightness is carried out almost infinitely and is by far the best that I've seen in a smartphone.
Processing:
The front (display) is made of Corning Gorilla Glass. The back is not made of glass but of several layers of polycarbonate. The frame is also made of plastic in metal optics.
Overall, 6 Honor feels but at a very high, only the back seems to me to be very sensitive to scratches.
Performance:
The performance has so far consistently good. I could still find no Miko-stuttering, which yes, for example, the Huawei Ascend P7 is struggling. Real Racing 3 runs example very fluid, so I think that most of the other "high-end games" should run without problems.
In Antutu benchmark to get to 41,000 points - the average value after several attempts
Also to mention positive here is the screen saver mode, by scaling down the resolution, the processor load falls again significantly and thus increases the Leistungsfähigkeit.Mit activated screen saver mode is Antutu benchmark value was approximately 43,800 possible.
Camera:
To the camera, I can only say so far, I have nothing to complain about. Certainly, the 13-megapixel sensor is not a highlight, but overall the images are consistently sharp and the colors are very natural.
The dual LED also lights up dark rooms well and brightens objects up to about 2 feet away for future reference.
(The camera sensor is also installed in OnePlus One and the Xiaomi Mi4 ...)
Speaker:
The loudspeaker is used to fine, but definitely not as good as from other devices. It is relatively quiet and the sound seems a bit muffled. All in all, however, sufficient to one or the other Vido also to see times without headphones.
Reception:
The reception at the D1 network I'd been beizeichnen as well. For this course I can say in a few days more.
The WLAN connection is very stable, and the reception is here compared to a Sony Xperia Z2 deultich better.
Dimensions / Handling:
Despite the relatively large 5 "display the Honor has 6 small dimensions. This is mainly due to the very narrow display frame. The one-handed operation is possible for me with slight limitations. Negative I noticed is the fact that the case is very smooth and less grip as for example, an Ascend P7.
Battery:
I am of the battery life really very excited. Also known as power users to get without any problems throughout the day and in the evening a residual charge of approximately 30%. I think if you have a moderate usage patterns are not a problem the advertised two days. I myself have had a display on-time of 6:34 (auto brightness) and a remaining charge of 30%. In addition, is still positive to mention the so-called "Bilschirmsparmodus" Here, the resolution of 1920x1080 to 1280x720 will be scaled down. Thus, the term is intended to increase by another 30%. I've also used a day with the screen saver mode, the Honor of curiosity and had the evening still a remaining charge of 50% for the same usage. Ie. with me, the savings amount to about 20%.
Update 1/12/2014:
-Mittlerweile I have a replacement device, as in my first 6 Honor the flap for the Sim / SD slot had too much play, and not flush with the frame completed. In the replacement device me a generally better processing noticed without any gaps. In addition, the frame is noticeably darker "painted" as the first unit. I personally like the much better, as the bright silver seemed a bit cheap. But the main problem is the reception with my new Honor. At work, where I usually have reception there on strike now entirely. I'll be watching the whole thing a few days because I can not yet rule out a failure on the part of Telekom and then post another update my review here.
Update 17/01/2014
-past The update is published to the EMUI 3.0, which of course I downloaded me directly. The entire surface has now clearly flatter and looks forward to the "material design" of Android 5 very similar. Now it is also possible the softkeys off when needed and unhide. The gallery is now sorted by date and much clearer, and the music player has a completely new design, which I personally like. In addition, the camera application has been redesigned and felt focuses the Honor 6 objects now faster.
Me it really would be the Honor / Huawei his promise in terms of complying with updates, so you can look forward to the previously announced Android 5 itself.
Update 05/17/2015
-The Honor 6 is still in use and suggests so far significantly better than the competition. There are usually a few months later software or hardware-side issues, not as the Honor 6. It all works without problems and the battery life has improved significantly with the EMUI 3.0 update. The display is still one of the best on the market and the camera is still well suited for snapshots. The processor is still no problems with any application clear and there are no time lags or the like. Overall, I can Honor 6 to 7 months now almost daily use still unconditionally recommend.
I hope I could facilitate you with my review the purchase decision and would appreciate feedback.
If you have questions about the device, I will answer you this course like in the comments.
