Weight (without bag): approx 1230g
Weight (with bag): approx 1350g
Height (folded): 62cm
Height (fully extended legs until camera plate): approx 130cm
Height (in addition with completely extended upper part): approx 157cm
Floor Space: ca. 0,30m² (from leg to leg, each about 77cm)
The tripod stands, for his quite graceful appearance, quite stable on the floor. Due to its mobile base plates, it adapts even uneven ground. The bracing of the legs to the central tube, is also quite stable and can be easily locked by a simple rotary knob. The fasteners that hold the leg segments in the extended state, are running smoothly and keep a greater pressure from (great camera, with heavy lens). At the top of the tripod (base plate on which the legs are attached), a small bubble is built, which allows precise alignment of the tripod.
At the center tube and a handle attached. There is nothing that would be necessary at, but a nice feature, since the stand, incl. Mounted camera can be worn comfortably. At the lower end of the central tube, a hook is attached. Although this can not wear a camera backpack, but can be used for additional stabilization of the stand when you hang 2-3 kg of weight off.
The upper arm is adjusted with a crank in height and found with a union nut. The mechanism runs partly. Hakelig something, but it's OK. Something stupid that the crank mechanism can unrecognized, if the mother is a little too far psyched.
The head can be rotated 360 ° un (locked by a knurled screw) and forwards and backwards, by 90 ° tilt bar (here, the locking is performed by the handle).
The holding plate for the camera is secured with a toggle closure. Subtracting these backward, the plate can be easily removed and at the same time remains the gag in the open position. As soon as one uses the plate again, he snaps again by itself. But this unfortunately happens only halfheartedly (perhaps 20%). The rest you have to do by hand, but by the "little" grip, the camera is unable to become independent and possibly fall down already.
This top piece can now be also separated, detected by 90 ° inclined to the right and with a wing nut.
So much for the general data and functions.
Positive I like that it is really very easy and, in the basic range, quite stable. The included case it is protected and can be easily carried (cloaks).
What bothers me a bit, and what other Rezensionisten have noted, the various possibilities of the detents. There are two union nuts (center tube and height adjustment). One is like a bayonet lock (1/4 turn), the other like a real mother (minimum three revolutions of easier movement too tightly). Then there is a "thick" nut (360), a rotatable handle (+/- 90 °) and finally a wing nut. This should have everything to something unifying.
The most negative point for me, but the imprecise and therefore crooked part, the top plate, which can be cranked up.
The ground on which the tripod stood the test is absolutely the Lot (checked with spirit level and also the 360 dragonfly in the stand showed this). Thereafter, the second bubble, perfectly straight aligned tripod head. One looked now on the upper part of the tripod, you could see with the naked eye a tilt to the right. An external water balance confirmed the effect.
The part that can be adjusted in height, is quite shaky and unstable and has, no matter how firmly tightening the nut, a substantial reaction radius in all directions. Furthermore, this effect is dependent on how you turn the tripod and uses. If the upper tripod Dragonfly straight (front / rear), the external spirit level shows the skew (left / right). If you turn now the head by 90 °, travels with the error (internal dragonfly wrong, just external).
Even if the tripod is convenient, it should be built well enough in any case to make "straight" images (from the horizon starting) can.
For a layman, the times will take a group picture with a small, compact digicam and self-timer, that's fine. For a hobby or even amateur photographer, a shale horizon goes but sometimes not (admittedly, would go but the shop in a different price range).
Here, if something would be perhaps worked at the upper stability and some of the processing of the head itself (5, - the selling price more, also not hurt anyone would do), then would certainly 5 star. So I can but the price, functionality, and my conscience calculating enter, only 3 stars.
