I bought the shell to protect my not very cheap device, and yes that makes them good. It is made of soft plastic or rubber, which I, and I'm not really clever with such things, could raise problems. So everything ok? then why only 4 stars? Because I think the Sony Xperia Z1 Compact for a really stylish product that it had acquired with the intention and the sheath also makes these high-end impression easily broken. Is probably not but the silhouette is of course changed, but also the rubber act inappropriately towards me. This is a matter of taste and therefore subjective. But then for me also not 5 star .....
