The utensil is simple. The material is thick and good quality 18/10 stainless steel. It rutile from the outside, the interior is matte, polished in concentric circles. The inlet diameter is 14.5 cm (small rims included), for a total height of 7 cm. The outlet diameter is 4 cm to about 2 cm in height. The handle is shaped flat ribbon 1 cm wide. Its ends are welded to the body of the funnel. The edges are a little rough around the edges: rounded finishes would have been more comfortable. The cove lack of amplitude for my two little fingers, which are in a little cramped. On the other hand, one finger weakling is not sufficient for the proper maintenance of the handle: the funnel slides and slumps! Sleeping is not the right time when the jam jars filled But the good news is that I do not make a daily and prolonged use.
I also serve for making ghee. The stem is short makes it perfect for pouring the regenerating salt in little easy access opening the dishwasher. There is thus posed to the end of the operation. Its large diameter avoids bottlenecks, enables them to see the level of salt while the remaining water is discharged without causing the crystals with it.
A great solid utensil versatile as a whole for less than ten euros and which has the merit to fill large pots of jam AND SMALL!
